From the Boardroom

The 2026 Lake Edge Resort Annual General Meeting will be held at the Resort on Wednesday 6th May at 7pm as a hybrid meeting, online and in person. The formal notice of the meeting will be sent out following the board meeting in February.  We are keen to hear from any shareholder interested in standing for election to the Board in 2026. Please talk to me or any of the other Directors. Our contact details are on the Lake Edge web page.


Buying and selling shares at Lake Edge: A reminder that Lake Edge Resort is a conduit for the sale and purchase of shares in Lake Edge. The service we offer is to put buyers and sellers in contact with each other and to handle the transaction.


In order to comply with the Financial Markets Conduct Act, the following disclaimer outlines our role:

Lake Edge Resort Limited, it’s directors and employees are not agents for either the vendor or the purchaser in the share transfer transaction. The agreement to buy and sell is solely between the vendor and purchaser. Lake Edge Resort Limited is involved in order to ensure the transfer is approved by the Board as per clauses 6 and 7 of the company constitution and to maintain the resort database and company share register.


Please be aware of any organizations offering to sell your shares. They are usually scams and many have found to their cost. Exit Timeshare, who made a big song and dance about helping people to get out of timeshare, has gone from the NZ market taking significant sums of unwitting timeshare owners' money with them.

Our next full Board meeting is scheduled as an online meeting in February and as always, we welcome your feedback and suggestions.

Resort Roundup

2026 had arrived with some beautiful summer weather although a little different story this week, but it's certainly good for the gardens! Regardless of the weather it's been great to see all our owners and guests enjoying the resort and activities.


Winner of the Free Week: Thank you to all those who paid their levy invoice promptly! Congratulations to Ian and Gay Fraser who have won the free week in Apartment 14 at Lake Edge this year! 


Levies Now Overdue: please ensure your levy is paid in full by the 1 February 2026 to avoid the 10% penalty that will be placed on top of your outstanding amount, thank you.


Refurbishments: Thank you for the positive feedback on the new ensuite bathroom upgrades. The Board is in discussion to look at completing bathroom renovations in Apartments 1 and 5 to remove the bath in the ensuite bathroom this year. At this stage the remaining Apartments 3 and 9 will retain the baths in their ensuite bathrooms.


Sky TV: you will notice the new hybrid sky boxes have been installed which combines both satellite and internet connection to offer more reliability and minimize any interruptions to viewing. Please remember at the end of your stay to sign out of any APPS used on the Smart TV’s.


Policies and Reminders: Extra carparking or boat parks must be requested prior to your stay to ensure we have room onsite. We do not have space for any vehicles over five meters, so please contact the office for details on alternative parking options before your stay.


If you would like to receive a Dominion newspaper during your stay, please let us know before your arrival as their cut-off for ordering is at 4pm on Friday. EFTPOS, credit card, or direct credit are available. Sorry, we do not accept cash.


Thank you! Our team really appreciates your time and care in leaving our Apartments clean and tidy after your stay, it really makes a huge difference to our busy Fridays! Please let us know if there has been any damage or issues in the Apartment during your stay so we can rectify it for you as soon as possible. Please note if any linen or towels are left either damaged or overly soiled, an extra cleaning fee of $50 may apply.


We thank you for your understanding and support in these matters.


Banking Weeks with Exchange Companies: if you are thinking about banking your week with an exchange company this year (e.g. 7Across/RCI) can you please let us know before 1 October so we can ensure the allocated weeks are available with your preferred exchange company.


2026 Bookings: If you haven’t already booked in your owner’s week for 2026, we have availability from Friday 20th March onwards. You can also check on the members portal on the Website Owners Page (Password: Lake Edge) for more available dates.


Booking Confirmations: Once your stay is booked, a confirmation will be sent to you via email. If you do not receive a booking confirmation email after making your reservation, it indicates that there is no booking. If the confirmation email is not received, please reach out to us to verify your booking status.


Wait list for 2027 Bookings: Any future booking requests /school holiday requests for 2027 can be made through the Owners Page/Future Booking Request Button on our website. Once the calendars are opened at the end of each month, we will then confirm the date with you. The Board has agreed that the advance levy sum of $900 must be paid within 14 days of the confirmed future booking, to secure an advanced booking for the following year.

  • Fri 27th February - Tuesday 3rd March, Apt 14

  • Monday 9th March - Friday 13th March, Apt 8

  • Friday 17th April – 24th April, Apt 3 and 14

  • Friday 24th April - 1st May, Apt 5 and 6
